Qualifications

• Experience in a hands-on accounting role such as Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting processes.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, billing, and month-end close.
• Payroll experience or willingness to support payroll functions as needed.
• Strong Excel skills and overall technical aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly organized, deadline-driven, self motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process ~200 monthly customer invoices using an industry-specific accounting platform.
• Perform weekly billing and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Complete high-volume bank reconciliations and manage cash movement between accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and serve as backup when needed.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Generate reports and provide accounting data to leadership.
• Research and resolve accounts receivable/payable discrepancies as needed.
• Respond professionally to client inquiries regarding invoices and account activity.
