Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to manage program accounting, special projects, and other analytical tasks on a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes accuracy in journal entries, budgeting, and audit preparation.

The candidate will collaborate with program staff and funding sources, ensure internal controls compliance, and deliver timely updates to leadership while supporting multiple programs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Review statements for internal controls, accounting standards, and budget variances; post adjustments.
• Assist with annual budgets and program projections; ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Visit programs to assess needs and budget-related matters.
• Prepare documents for internal and external audits; ensure accuracy of records.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisor and stakeholders; report status.
