Job summary

thyssenkrupp rothe erde is seeking a 3rd shift maintenance assistant to support the maintenance supervisor and department. The role involves coordinating preventive maintenance, assisting with parts requisitions, and maintaining inventory for the machine shop.

Responsibilities include performing minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs, communicating requirements to leadership, and collaborating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Training or job related experience in diesel, gas and propane engine repair. Training or job experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC. CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize all PM activities for the machine shop.
• Identify parts and issue requisitions in SRM system for maintenance supplies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance/supply crib inventory and replenishment.
• Repair minor electrical issues (110v/120v).
• Perform office plumbing, HVAC and general electrical repairs.
• Communicate operations needs with supervisor/manager.
• Coordinate with outside vendors as delegated by maintenance supervisors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Perform 5S in all operation areas.
• Contribute to cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct safety audits when required.
