Job summary

Thyssenkrupp seeks an experienced maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy machinery on the warehouse floor. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and coordinate with contractors to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include maintaining maintenance records, supporting safety and Lean initiatives, and performing minor facility repairs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility.
• Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Participate, support, and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
