Onward Search is seeking a Hand Welder for a temp-to-perm opportunity in manufacturing. You will perform MIG/TIG welds on tubing and related components, read blueprints, and ensure weld quality while maintaining equipment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years welding experience, can read drawings, and use calipers and weld gauges. This on-site role offers training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

We are hiring a Hand Welder. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity involves performing welding operations on tubing and related components for our client in manufacturing. The role includes reading blueprints, applying high-quality MIG/TIG welds on various metals, inspecting welds for defects, and ensuring proper setup and maintenance of welding equipment. The position requires strict adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Hand Welder Responsibilities:

• Weld tubing and related components using MIG or TIG welding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and manufacturing drawings to determine weld locations and methods.
• Verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, or weld gauges to ensure quality.
• Prepare, align, and fixture hydraulic tube assemblies for welding, including tack welding to maintain alignment.
• Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and perform visual and dimensional inspections.

Hand Welder Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and weld gauges.
• Ability to set up, calibrate, and maintain MIG/TIG welding machines and associated tools.
