This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm overseeing our North/Northwest locations: Plymouth, Maple Grove, Blaine, Coon Rapids, and Brooklyn Park.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee, monitor and supervise the daily operations of the Occupational Departments, ensuring excellent patient service and delivery of care.
- Evaluate and develop action plans for efficient, ethical, and productive health care practices that lead to patient and physician satisfaction while communicating actions to manager/director.
- Communicate issues that positively and negatively impact day-to-day operations to direct supervisor.
- Suggest and develop strategies to maximize quality and efficiency in therapy clinics.
- Collaborate with other leadership inside and outside of the immediate clinic(s) being managed.
- Effectively recruit, coach, train, and develop direct reports and ensure the same for indirect reports. Hiring and firing privileges will ultimately be reserved for Director/Manager level with input accepted from Hand Therapy Supervisor.
- Ensure required licensures and credentials are validated.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Ensure lawful and ethical use of therapy services in the clinic(s) assigned.
- Mindful of the importance of employee retention.
- Utilize and collaborate with Vision Committee and sub-committees to improve service and quality in the organization as it relates to the delivery of hand therapy.
- Provide constructive feedback to direct reports, including casual daily interaction, timely performance appraisals, performance management plans, and appropriate performance counseling as necessary.
- Effectively perform all duties expected of the profession represented (e.g., Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist), including maintaining a 90% caseload.
- Consult with Director of Therapy and HR in instances of any staff dismissal.
- Consult with Director/Manager level on significant purchases for the department (e.g., expenses >$1000/month).
- Accept and utilize direct feedback from Director on expense management when called upon to do so.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s/Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Preferred.
- 3 years of experience practicing physical/occupational therapy, experience in orthopedic setting strongly preferred.
- 5+ years as an Occupational Therapist required.
- CHT preferred.
- 3 years' leadership experience preferred.

- Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping, or sitting for long periods of time may be required.

- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations.

- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Travel to other work locations, if required.
