Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, craft custom splints, and develop recovery plans in collaboration with hand surgeons and the rehab team.

The role requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, a current PT or OT license, and CHT credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab and outpatient therapy experience.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish care plan.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students, and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand/upper-extremity orthoses.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
