Job summary

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking motivated occupational or physical therapists focused on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation in New York. You will work under mentorship, gain advanced training, and hands‑on practice.

Responsibilities include creating individualized treatment plans with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education; empowering patients with home programs; collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hold a license (or be license eligible) to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy in New York.
• Completed Level II fieldwork or outpatient rotation in hand therapy or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to hand therapy through education or credentials.
• Pursue Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.
• Empower patients with home programs and strategies aligned to functional goals.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve outcomes.
