Job summary

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking motivated occupational and physical therapists to specialize in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. The role emphasizes mentorship, advanced training, and hands-on practice to build expertise in hand therapy.

Ideal candidates have a NY OT license and will pursue CH_T with the support of our collaborative team, enjoying a strong patient-centered care environment and opportunities to grow clinically.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree.
• License to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of New York.
• Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy OR equivalent experience during clinical education.
• Commitment to pursuing Hand Therapy certification (CHT) with team support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotic fabrication, and patient education.
• Empower patients with home programs and strategies that support their functional goals and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes.
