Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking licensed Occupational or Physical Therapists with hand therapy interest in New York. You will develop tailored treatment plans, educate patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree is required.
• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in New York.
• Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to hand therapy through continuing education if transitioning from another area.
• Excitement about pursuing the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) with team support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotic fabrication, and patient education
• Empower patients with home programs and strategies that support their functional goals and recovery
• Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes
