Job summary

UNMH Jobs is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join a fast-paced hand therapy clinic in Albuquerque. You will work with orthopedic and plastic surgeons to manage complex upper extremity conditions, delivering targeted therapy across age groups with supervision and mentorship available.

The role emphasizes growth, teamwork, and adherence to safety and clinical guidelines within a rehabilitation outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of hand anatomy, kinesiology and upper extremity pathology.
• A basic understanding of splinting and orthotic fabrication.
• Interest in treating complex upper extremity injuries and conditions.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver occupational therapy to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Direct patient participation to restore and enhance function.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
• Treat a wide age range from neonate to geriatric.
• Evaluate patients to determine goals and plan therapy delivery.
• Collaborate with rehabilitative team and medical staff.
