Job summary

New Mexico Orthopaedic Associates P C seeks a hand therapy professional to evaluate and treat patients with hand/upper quadrant conditions. You will work with physicians to develop and implement rehabilitation plans, document progress, and educate patients and families on exercises and care protocols.

The role requires a PT or OT degree, NM licensure to practice, and hands-on experience in hand therapy. Flexibility to work within clinic schedules is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in occupational therapy or physical therapy from an accredited college/university.
• At least 1 year of experience as a hand therapist or supervised clinical internship.
• New Mexico license to practice physical therapy; hand therapy certification eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Plans and evaluates patient treatment programs in coordination with medical staff.
• Administers treatment programs per physician instruction.
• Documents care, maintains patient records and discharge summaries.
• Educates patients and families on care and exercise programs.
• Splint fabrication per physician instruction.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and clinic policy.
