Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create custom splints, and develop individualized recovery plans in a hands-on outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include supervising students and staff, fabricating orthoses, and coordinating with surgeons and therapists across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation/outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to age and disability.
• Document delivery of therapy services.
• Direct supervision of assistants, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand/upper-extremity conditions.
• Manage post-surgical/injury rehab including scar management, edema control, and return-to-work.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, and other clinicians.
