Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in Illinois is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide orthopedic upper-extremity care for patients of all ages within an integrated care model that includes physicians, therapists, athletic trainers, technicians, and nursing staff.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop goals, fabricate orthotics when needed, document progress, and collaborate with the team to maximize outcomes while pursuing continuing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Out-patient hand therapy experience.
• Experience with custom orthotics/splinting.
• Ability to multitask and work in a collaborative team.
• Willing to learn and grow professionally; able to collaborate with physicians.

Responsabilités

• Perform initial evaluations and establish treatment plans with functional goals.
• Fabricate or dispense upper-extremity orthotics as needed.
• Complete documentation (Initial Eval, Progress Summary, Discharge Summary) to physicians.
• Coordinate with physicians and team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Supervise rehab technicians and support staff as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Develop relationships with IBJI physicians to promote services.
• Shadow or supervise OT students when available.
