Job summary

District Medical Group (DMG) in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a full-time Hand Surgeon with a strong interest in academics and trauma. The role involves faculty responsibilities, teaching, and developing the hand service within a Level 1 trauma center affiliated with Valleywise Health.

The ideal candidate is board certified or eligible and has completed the Hand Surgery AQ or equivalent certification, with comfort working in a collaborative, team-based patient management approach.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility required.
• Hand surgery certification/qualification (AQ Hand or equivalent).
• Comfortable working in a team-based care environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a faculty member in the Department of Surgery.
• Assist the Hand Section Chief in developing the clinical service line.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient hand surgical care, including elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
• Participate in resident education and supervision of rotators in plastic surgery and hand surgery.
• Provide on-call coverage as part of the trauma service.
