Responsibilities

• Bone In Ham handling and general meat processing.
• Working with cooked meat products (ham).
• Repetitive hand, arm and shoulder movement on concrete (8–12 hrs).
• Lifting boxes 30–60 lbs. each.
• Operate ink jet printer to label products before packaging.
• Remove labels from automatic roll and place on product moving on conveyor belt.
• Weigh and label products using scale; manage speed up to 40 PPM.
• Remove casings/netting from product using knife/cutter.
• Move product from racks to feed production line; handle 10 PPM speeds.
• Move ham on racks and through lines with lifting and twisting.
• Push/pull heavy racks; move empty racks by one person.
• Pack products into boxes; move boxes to conveyor and case sealer.
• Bag products; maintain 20 PPM speed.
• Paletizing products from conveyor; lift 8–60 lbs. repeatedly.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack as needed.
• Stand on ergonomic heights 4–14 inches; work with conveyors and packaging equipment.
• Cryovac machinery and slicers used in processing; bandsaw and spiral slicer for ham.
• Box sealing and case sealing equipment involved.
• Work in cool, damp temperatures 35–50°F; maintain cleanliness and safety.
