Job summary

Cleveland History Center seeks a seasonal maintenance assistant to support Hale Farm & Village operations. You will conduct landscape upkeep, general site maintenance, and assist with events as needed.

Requirements: stand for long periods, operate landscape equipment and a chainsaw, and lift up to 50 pounds. Non-exempt from overtime; the role pays $12.00/hour with hours varying seasonally. Excellent punctuality, reliability, and ability to follow policies required.

About This Position

RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to the Maintenance Lead or Director

CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as seasonal and non-exempt from overtime compensation.

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibility.

COORDINATION: Under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead, works with Hale Farm & Village's departments and auxiliaries on a daily basis as well as for special events and programs.

DUTIES

• Landscape maintenance including, but not limited to, cutting grass, weed eating, trash pick-up, weeding, planting, mulching, cutting firewood and other duties as assigned.
• General site and vehicle maintenance including, but not limited to buildings, systems, and equipment.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned by Maintenance Lead of Hale Farm & Village

COMPENSATION: $12.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to stand for long periods of time, Experience operating landscape equipment and chainsaw, ability to lift more than 50 pounds. Pleasant, honest, reliable, self-motivated, team worker, punctual, neat, with an ability to follow policies and work details.
