Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) is seeking a seasonal landscape maintenance assistant in Kentucky. The role includes mowing, trimming, trash pickup, planting, mulching, and general site upkeep under the Maintenance Lead. Work involves physical duties, equipment operation (including chainsaw), and assisting with events.
Position is seasonal and non-exempt; candidates should be able to lift over 50 pounds and stand long periods. Team-oriented and reliable individuals are preferred.
RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to the Maintenance Lead or Director
CLASSIFICATION: This position is classified as seasonal and non-exempt from overtime compensation.
SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibility.
COORDINATION: Under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead, works with Hale Farm & Village’s departments and auxiliaries on a daily basis as well as for special events and programs.
DUTIES: Landscape maintenance including, but not limited to, cutting grass, weed eating, trash pick-up, weeding, planting, mulching, cutting firewood and other duties as assigned.
General site and vehicle maintenance including, but not limited to buildings, systems, and equipment.
Undertakes other duties as assigned by Maintenance Lead of Hale Farm and Village
COMPENSATION: $12.00/hour
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to stand for long periods of time, Experience operating landscape equipment and chainsaw, ability to lift more than 50 pounds. Pleasant, honest, reliable, self-motivated, team worker, punctual, neat, with an ability to follow policies and work details.
