Primary Responsibilities

1. Perform hair services that meet established guidelines and fulfill guest expectations.
2. Use universal precautions when providing services.
3. Assess contraindications that may prevent services.
4. Maintain knowledge of all spa services and recommend products for home use.
5. Perform treatments based on current certifications and suggest additional beneficial treatments.
6. Explain product ingredients and benefits to guests, answering questions professionally.
7. Perform various hair cutting, styling, chemical, and scalp treatments.
8. Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely starts and finishes.
9. Keep work areas clean and report product needs.
10. Maintain client records and complete side work and meetings as scheduled.
11. Disinfect equipment daily and assist with facility maintenance and safety reporting.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, and handling tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of active hairstyling experience with color services.
• Customer service experience, preferably in a spa setting.
• Ability to explain treatments and recommend products.
• Excellent communication, organization, and team skills.
• Availability for varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with hairstyling tools and chemicals, and awareness of safety and health conditions.
