The World Equestrian Center Calluna Spa located inside The Equestrian Hotel is currently seeking a Spa Hair Stylist.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Perform hair services that meet established guidelines and fulfill guest expectations.
2. Use universal precautions when providing services.
3. Assess contraindications that may prevent services.
4. Maintain high product knowledge and awareness of all spa services offered.
5. Recommend products for home use.
6. Perform treatments based on current certifications.
7. Suggest other beneficial spa treatments to guests.
8. Understand and explain product ingredients and benefits to guests.
9. Perform various hair cutting techniques including precision cutting, razor, clipper, and thinning shears.
10. Proficiently style hair using tools like hot rollers, curling irons, and Velcro rollers.
11. Create stylish updos with extensions, braiding, and plating techniques.
12. Perform chemical services such as coloring, perms, and straightening.
13. Conduct shampoo treatments and scalp massages.
14. Start and end appointments on time.
15. Follow the assigned schedule.
16. Keep work areas clean and organized.
17. Inform Spa Director of product needs.
18. Maintain client treatment notes.
19. Complete side work and attend scheduled meetings and training.
20. Disinfect equipment daily.
21. Assist with lifting and storing equipment and supplies.
22. Report incidents or accidents to management.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Stand for long periods.
• Require abilities such as balancing, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, tactile sensing, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of active hairstyling experience with color services.
• Previous spa customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to explain treatments and services clearly.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, professional, and discreet.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with product recommendation comfort.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
• Ability to operate tools like scissors, blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, brushes, combs, clips, foils, and bleach.
• Work conditions include exposure to noise, fumes, odors, chemicals, and burns.
