CSL Behring in the United States seeks a Director of Search & Evaluation to lead external innovation in Haematology, shaping early asset opportunities from preclinical to Phase 1 and guiding partnership strategies.

Based in a hybrid role with onsite requirements at one of our R&D hubs (Waltham, MA), you will drive due diligence, negotiation, and cross-functional deal execution with BD partners.

Qualifications

• Significant tenure in biopharma with external innovation and BD experience.
• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) required.
• Deep scientific expertise in Haematology.
• Proven track record in due diligence and early-stage deal closure.
• Strong network within biotech, academia, and pharma BD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior Early S&E leader within the TALT, influencing strategy.
• Lead proactive sourcing and scouting for preclinical and Phase 1 assets.
• Co-lead internal meetings with Late Search Lead on prioritizing NPOs.
• Develop and execute early partnering strategies for priority assets.
• Drive cross-functional due diligence for each opportunity.
• Partner with BD and Regional Ecosystem Leads to close deals.
• Represent the TA externally at conferences and cultivate external relationships.
