Job summary

CSL Behring in Waltham, MA, is seeking a Director of Search & Evaluation to lead external innovation for Cardiovascular/Renal, shaping early asset strategies from preclinical through Phase 1 and guiding partnering initiatives with Business Development.

Embedded in the Therapeutic Area Leadership Team, you will drive proactive sourcing, due diligence, and deal execution, while representing the TA at conferences and cultivating biotech, academia, and investment partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant tenure in biopharma with external innovation, search & evaluation, or business development.
• Advanced degree required (PhD, MD, or equivalent).
• Deep scientific expertise in Cardiovascular/Renal.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior Early S&E leader within the Therapeutic Area Leadership Team (TALT).
• Lead proactive sourcing and scouting for preclinical and Phase 1 assets.
• Co-lead internal meetings to evaluate and prioritize New Product Opportunities (NPOs) in Cardiovascular/Renal.
