Job summary

The Illinois Department of Human Services, based in Dixon, Illinois, seeks a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for the Mabley Developmental Center to lead the IDT during an assigned shift. You will monitor progress toward habilitation goals and ensure plans are carried out across community and center settings.

Essential duties include leading the IDT, coordinating services, and delivering ongoing staff training.

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
  • One year of direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities required beyond education.
  • Applicants must be able to travel and work after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the professional Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) leader for an assigned shift.
  • Monitor, review, and evaluate individual program data to assess progress toward habilitation goals.
  • Observe individuals during activities of daily living and active treatment.
  • Coordinate services to implement active habilitation per the plan.
  • Conduct in-service and workshops for employees for ongoing training and promotions.
  • Serve on committees at the center or statewide level.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of duties.
