Job summary

Broadwind Industrial Solutions in Sanford, NC is seeking a skilled HAAS Machinist with 2-axis machining and conversational programming experience to join our team. Candidates will operate and program HAAS CNC lathes, read drawings, and ensure high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include setting up parts, measuring with calipers, and verifying tolerances. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a 2-year technical degree in Machining or equivalent

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two-year technical degree in Machining or an equivalent amount of machinist experience.
Ability to read blueprints.
Strong attention to detail.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems.
Good command of English, written and verbal.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
Ability to read, write and follow established methods and procedures.
Ability to perform simple shop math.
Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes).
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Responsibilities

Set-up, adjust and operate machine to run recurring projects per project prints.
Read and understand machining print symbols as needed.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math and measuring tools.
Measure, examine, and test completed units for conformance to specs.
Safely operate overhead crane and forklift equipment.
Run horizontal saw as needed.
Maintain clean, orderly work area and follow quality and safety rules.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
