The Ocean Community YMCA in Westerly, RI seeks a Gymnastics Coordinator to lead and grow recreational and competitive gymnastics programs. This role blends hands-on coaching with program leadership, staff development, safety, and family engagement in a positive environment for youth to build skills and confidence.

Responsibilities include leading programming, coaching the gymnastics team, recruiting and mentoring staff, coordinating meets and events, and ensuring a safe, welcoming space for

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
3–5 years of gymnastics experience.
Gymnastics safety certification required within 6 months of employment.
CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications required.

Responsibilities

Lead high-quality recreational and competitive gymnastics programming.
Coach and support our competitive Gymnastics Team.
Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor gymnastics staff.
Develop engaging programs that grow participation and retention.
Coordinate meets, competitions, and special events.
Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming gymnastics environment.
Build strong relationships with athletes, families, and community partners.
