Job summary

Ocean Community YMCA seeks an energetic Gymnastics Coordinator to lead and grow recreational and competitive programs, blending hands-on coaching with leadership, safety, and family engagement. This role builds a positive environment where kids learn, gain confidence, and foster a lifelong love of gymnastics.

The position requires coaching experience, staff supervision, program development, and compliance with safety standards to ensure high-quality offerings for youth of all ages.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3-5 years of gymnastics experience with knowledge of skills and spotting techniques for all levels.
• USAG Safety certification required within 6 months of employment.
• CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen required; ARC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for all gymnastics programming, including recreational and competitive teams.
• Serve as Head Coach of the Gymnastics Team.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality, age-appropriate programming aligned with YMCA standards and goals.
• Plan seasonal schedules, curriculum progression, and program pathways.
• Coordinate and attend meets, competitions, and special events.
• Monitor enrollment trends and implement strategies to grow participation and retention.
• Ensure programs reflect YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
