Job summary

YMCA of the North Shore is seeking an experienced Gymnastics Director to lead the Marblehead YMCA gymnastics program, including recreational classes, camps, and birthday parties. You will recruit and develop coaches, oversee staff schedules, and ensure a high-quality, safe, and inclusive experience for hundreds of youth and families.

The role focuses on program growth, staff development, and building strong family connections, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule and evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching gymnasts and working with youth of varying ages and skill levels.
• Progressive experience supervising, coaching, or developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics safety, skill progression, and coaching practices.
• Must be physically able to demonstrate gymnastics activities and spot Level 4 skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for growth and development of Marblehead YMCA gymnastics program.
• Develop high-quality gymnastics programming for youth and families in the community.
• Oversee recreational classes, open gym, birthday parties, summer camp, and related experiences.
• Monitor enrollment, program quality, and community needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Support progression of gymnasts from recreational to team-level opportunities.
