Job summary

City of Boulder is seeking a part-time gymnastics coach to teach preschool and school-age participants in a dynamic youth program. You will set up equipment, monitor safety, and communicate with parents and staff to ensure a positive experience.

You will collaborate with the coaching team, provide feedback, and may assist with Xcel team coaching after demonstrating capability. A background check is required before first day. The role is 10 hours per week with a pay range noted.

Qualifications

• Ability to stay actively engaged and assist with spotting of gymnastics skills.
• Ability to evaluate safety conditions and make judgments.
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, & coordinators.
• Keep accurate records and follow established procedures.
• Willingness to accept and provide feedback and work with partners.

Responsibilities

• Teaches gymnastics to preschool children ages 2 - 5 years old.
• Teaches school-aged, recreational gymnastics, ages 6 and older.
• Sets up equipment, maintain roll sheets, and communicate with parents.
• Takes proper safety precautions and enforces rules and policies.
• Assists with coaching Xcel girls’ teams or boys’ programs after proven performance.
