Job summary

Gold's Gym is seeking a General Manager in Austin, TX to lead all aspects of gym operations, staff development, and member experience. The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

The GM will oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll for gym staff, while driving profitability and maintaining top-tier facilities. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.
• Experience managing personal trainers is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of operations, including P&L, budgeting, inventory and labor management.
• Team up with third-party vendors and internal support teams for gym operations and maintenance.
• Become an expert on Gold's Gym products and target customers.
• Share weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance updates with leadership.
• Flexible schedule; able to work outside typical business hours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional gym member experience and oversee member satisfaction.
• Hire, train and schedule all gym-level staff.
• Manage gym operations and profitability; ensure facilities are clean and well-maintained.
• Promote the gym's social media and digital presence.
• Respond to member inquiries and feedback to maintain a positive experience.
• Oversee payroll accuracy and timely submission; manage vendor relationships.
• Travel to various clubs and meetings as needed.
