Gold's Gym is seeking a General Manager to lead gym operations in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. You will oversee sales processes, staff performance, budgeting, and event planning to drive revenue and service quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with five years professional experience; college degree preferred.
• Experience in fitness industry preferred but not required.
• Ability to direct sales through company outreach programs.
• Excellent customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Promotional leadership style with drive for excellence; entrepreneurial mindset.
• Two years of management experience preferred; associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage gym operating budget and oversee the sales process and systems.
• Monitor, evaluate the performance of all gym-level managers.
• Oversee hiring, training and scheduling of all gym level staff.
• Train and mentor subordinates; delegate and evaluate sales team responsibilities via Sales Manager.
• Manage disciplinary actions involving gym-level employees.
• Provide high level customer service in a high-volume retail environment.
• Plan and promote monthly gym events using corporate marketing as needed.
• Ensure facility is clean and operational.
