Job summary

Gold's Gym of the Carolinas and Florida is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, member experience, and leadership of the club. You will drive membership growth, revenue, retention, and ensure operational excellence in line with Gold’s Gym standards.

Lead a management and staff team, coach employees, monitor performance, and maintain facility standards while delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; two years of management experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience preferred.
• Fitness industry experience preferred but not required.
• Be promotionally-oriented and have the ability to direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership and drive for excellence.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn new data systems and train employees
• Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
