Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager in Marlborough to oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, judgment-free member experience. The role is full-time, with a schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

You will lead staff, drive sales goals, manage front desk activities, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards across the club. CPR certification and management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service
• Previous management experience is preferred
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales goals; contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight—ensuring staff provides a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including answering phones, check-ins, and new member sign-ups.
• Take prospective members on tours and facilitate all member requests.
