Job summary

IGNITE Fitness Holdings, a Planet Fitness franchisee, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across gym locations. You will repair fitness equipment, handle electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC tasks, and conduct routine facility upkeep in a fast-paced, member-facing environment.

This role requires hands-on work, lifting up to 100 pounds, travel within district clubs, and use of power tools and basic maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of handy work or facilities repair experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep.
• Fitness equipment experience is a plus.
• Proficient with basic computer tools and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain fitness equipment across facilities.
• Perform electrical maintenance: bulbs, wiring, breakers, fuses.
• Carry out carpentry tasks: sanding, painting, woodwork.
• Complete plumbing repairs: toilets, faucets, leaks.
• General facility upkeep: doors, tiles, floors, cleaning solutions.
• Respond to maintenance tickets promptly via Service Channel.
• Prioritize work based on urgency and keep team informed.
• Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and outdoor tasks as needed.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; collaborate on larger projects.
