Job summary

LABUR is seeking a Lab IT Support Engineer to backstop laboratory computing environments, QC systems, and scientific software across sites in the greater Boston area. The role blends hands-on IT support with CSV responsibilities in a GxP-regulated setting, requiring travel between sites and occasional off-hours coverage.

You will partner with QC laboratories, Quality teams, instrument vendors, and enterprise IT to ensure systems are reliable, compliant, and fit for use, with emphasis on data

Qualifications

• Experience supporting laboratory environments in pharma/biotech/manufacturing/QC settings.
• Strong IT troubleshooting across hardware, software, Windows, AD, user access and permissions, and basic networking.
• Practical experience in a GxP-regulated environment with CSV concepts, lifecycle documentation, and IQ/OQ activities.
• Familiarity with data integrity principles, 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+ concepts, and technical controls in regulated systems.
• Experience with quality and document management systems such as Veeva, including change control processes and quality documentation.
• Exposure to laboratory technology vendors such as Agilent, Waters, or Illumina, coordinating across technical and business teams.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and communicate effectively with laboratory users; Linux is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for laboratory PCs, QC systems, instrument workstations, and scientific applications.
• Assist installation, configuration, upgrades, backups, and lifecycle management of lab systems and instruments.
• Coordinate with vendors during installations, upgrades, and IQ/OQ qualification activities.
• Serve as primary IT contact for laboratory and QC users, collaborating with enterprise IT and stakeholders.
• Support computerized systems in a GxP QC environment, contributing to CSV activities.
• Assist with IQ/OQ activities ensuring data integrity and compliance controls.
• Maintain validation, system and technical docs within the quality management system (e.g., Veeva).
• Support laboratory software and vendor integrations used across QC workflows.
