Responsibilities

• Define infrastructure strategy and operating model; align investments to objectives; approve multi-region roadmaps.
• Establish enterprise architecture and standards for fault tolerance, scalability, reliability, and efficiency; audit compliance.
• Govern resilience engineering: set error budgets, chaos testing, canary/blue-green rollouts, rapid rollback.
• Automation-first operations (IaC, CI/CD for infra/services, policy-as-code); reduce toil with platformed capabilities.
• Direct observability and performance strategy: define SLO/SLI and budgets; drive telemetry to improve reliability and latency.
• Chair design and release governance for high-impact infrastructure changes; balance reliability, security, performance, and cost.
• Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory obligations; audit-ready evidence in delivery pipelines.
• Set organization-wide KPIs/OKRs and dashboards; monitor availability, MTTR, latency, capacity forecasts, automation.
• Harmonize engagement with Product/Platform Eng, SRE/Operations, Networking, Security/Privacy, Data/Storage, Capacity Planning.
• Optimize vendor/tooling, hardware platforms, and cloud spend; manage supply/resiliency risks; ensure policy alignment.
• Manage multi-year budgets, global headcount, and vendor relationships; mentor Senior Directors and VPs to foster inclusivity and high performance.
• Ensure practices serve Oracle and customers; drive trust, innovation, and sustained business value.
