Job summary

Tier 1 Completions Solutions Inc. is seeking an Experienced Gun Loader for Midland, TX. The role involves building perforating guns for wireline pump down operations and ensuring safety and accuracy in tool preparation.

The ideal candidate has prior gun-building experience, basic mechanical skills, and a solid understanding of safety practices. You must be able to work nights or weekends and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A with Hazmat Endorsement is an asset but not required.
• First Aid and CPR certified highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to Tier 1 Completions Solutions Inc. (Tier 1) policies and procedures; client policies where applicable.
• Build perforating guns according to needs and specifications.
• Set the tools needed for the job based on specifications.
• Maintain adequate inventory of guns and explosives and other materials as required.
• Keep logbook up to date.
• Ensure work area is kept clean and safe.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experienced Gun Loader

JOB SUMMARY

This position performs work in building and loading select fire perforating guns for wireline pump down operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Completions Solutions Inc. (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
• Builds perforating guns according to needs and specifications;
• Sets the tools needed for the job based on specifications;
• Maintains adequate inventory of guns and explosives and other materials as required;
• Keeps logbook up to date;
• Ensures work area is kept clean and safe;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

• Previous gun building experience highly preferred;
• Basic mechanical skills and oilfield knowledge;
• Working knowledge of safety practices and awareness of surrounding for safety;
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment with good customer service skills;

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling (70 pounds);
• Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
• Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions;
• Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week;
• Working with explosives.
• Precise hand eye coordination
• Basic keyboard and other skills
• Operation of heavy equipment or vehicles
• Work nights and/or weekends

Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s license required;

Qualifications

• Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1’s policies;
• 5 years commercial/drivers abstract must be in compliant with Tier 1’s guidelines
• Must have the ability to pass a federal background check
• Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position
• Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions.
