Job summary

Hunting Titan in Odessa, TX seeks an experienced supervisor to lead PLG production tasks and ensure compliance with ATF/DOT regulations. You will coordinate shipments, manage daily workflows, and maintain accurate inventory, while partnering with the Supply Chain Manager to optimize stock levels and efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising gun loaders and technicians, reconciling records, and preparing reports to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and ATF/DOT rules.
  • Valid driver’s license and HazMat training.

  • Responsible for all magazine and compliance record keeping.
  • Will enter production jobs for PLGs.
  • Supervise and assign daily tasks to gun loaders and tool technicians based on demand.
  • Coordinate PLG shipments to customers.
  • Monitor and order inventory based on customer demand and loading/rental schedule.
  • Partner with DC Managers to maximize freight, inventory, and employee efficiencies.
  • Schedule ATF regulated inventory for magazines.
  • Reconcile history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve differences.
  • Assist in determining work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Will examine finished work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Assure all repackaged material is properly labeled according to ATF & DOT regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory according to customer demands.
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to optimize location inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with all distribution centers and production divisions as necessary to optimize corporate profits by supplying any inventory that may be needed thatcannot be produced in time to meetcustomer order.
  • Provide recommendations to help optimize performance, safety and environmental issues.
  • Manage all PLG team employee related issues including selection, planning, training, assigning, and directing work; as well as conducting performance reviews and partnering with Human Resources on matters related to compensation, progressive discipline and/or employee concerns.
  • Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
  • Can perform activities of workers supervised.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment / Conditions:

Work settings range from clean indoor lab to unprotected outdoor environments. The employee frequently works with or around explosives. This involves handling packaged/boxed explosives as well as instructing customers in the proper use, storage, and transportation of these explosives. While rare, any accident could be catastrophic and potentially result in injury or death to many employees. The employee frequently works with powders, sometimes in a dusty environment and occasionally around fumes. Workers must not be overly sensitive (allergies, rashes, etc.) to working in these conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Technical Requirements / Skills
  • Can properly use measuring devices and make precise measurements using micrometers, calipers and weight scales.
  • Familiar with and can work Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel), able to manipulate photos in software, and familiar with SolidWorks drafting.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand operating, safety and test procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA safety regulations, ATF & DOT explosives, transportation, storage and documentation requirements.
  • Strong “hands on” mechanical aptitude and ability.
  • Maintains a clean, neat and well-organized work area.
  • Able to understand, learn and follow written and verbal safety, quality and work instructions.
  • Recommends suggestions for continual improvement.
  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies, ATF, DOT, and State or other required Hazmat training.
  • Must meet Hunting Titan/OSHA fork truck driver license requirements.
  • Work Authorization / Security Clearance:
  • Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements.
  • Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations.
