Job summary

CAPTEK Softgel International is seeking a Kitchen Cook Lead in California to oversee gummy production, including mixing, blending, and cooking according to the Master Manufacturing Record. You will guide junior cooks and coordinate closely with machine operators to ensure accurate weighing, correct ingredient order, and compliant batch documentation.

The role requires experience in food/pharma/dietary supplement manufacturing, preferably gummies, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or dietary supplement production.
• Gummy manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Follow cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Mix, blend, and cook gummy formulations according to Master Manufacturing Record (MMR).
• Weigh ingredients correctly and ensure proper order of addition.
• Provide guidance to other kitchen cooks and coordinate with machine operators.
• Record passdown information between shifts and ensure accurate batch records.
• Operate basic kitchen equipment and ERP system for material tracing.
• Support NCR investigations and participate in safety and quality programs.
