Job summary

CAPTEK Softgel International is seeking a Gummy QA Technician for the 2nd shift (2pm–10:30pm) in La Mirada, CA. The role focuses on ensuring safety, quality, and compliance of gummy nutraceuticals, with hands-on production floor involvement and CCP verification in a fast-paced SQF and NSF GMP environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring processes, conducting in-line tests, reviewing PBRs, handling NCRs/DEVs/CAPAs, and assisting with general production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Food Science/Microbiology a plus
• 2+ years QA experience in food/dietary supplement manufacturing (preferred)
• Experience with SQF, HACCP, and GMP requirements
• Proficiency with quality testing equipment (pH meters, moisture analyzers, refractometers)
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive CAPAs

Responsibilities

• Monitor in-process quality and production; verify CCPs and records
• Review Production Batch Records; release or reject products
• Maintain calibration records for testing equipment
• Assist in non-conformance investigations and CAPA implementation
• Support audits and ongoing SQF/GMP compliance
• Train production staff on GMPs, allergen control, and hygiene
