Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our industrial storage and project buffering business across the Gulf Coast, an area dense with petrochemical activity. This role extends Barnhart's core services by embedding storage and buffering into project and maintenance programs from the outset.

You will work with engineering and operations, build a dedicated pipeline, engage with plant reliability and procurement teams, and travel extensively throughout the Gulf

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, or related field.
• 5+ years in business development or sales selling complex industrial services.
• Strong knowledge of Gulf Coast industrial landscape and project cycles.
• Proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Gulf Coast.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities for industrial storage and project buffering across the Gulf Coast.
• Develop a dedicated pipeline for storage and preservation of mission-critical equipment.
• Position storage as risk mitigation and schedule protection for projects.
• Build a pipeline of prospects among EPCs, energy, petrochemical, and port-related businesses.
• Engage early in project and turnaround planning to design solutions into scope.
• Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and present Barnhart's value.
• Coordinate cross-branch delivery for multi-site opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to create customized proposals.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis in Gulf Coast sectors.
• Represent Barnhart at industry events to generate leads.
• Provide forecasts and market intelligence to leadership.
