DPProfessionals seeks a Guidance Navigation Control Engineer III for an aerospace client. Onsite in Chandler, AZ, the role is a 12‑month W2 contract with a US citizen and active Secret clearance.

You will design, implement and test GN&C algorithms for diverse vehicles during powered, coast and orbital phases. Requirements include Kalman Filtering, signal processing, and proficiency in C++, MATLAB and Python, with a strong statistics background and EO imaging experience.

DPP is seeking a Guidance Navigation Control Engineer III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.

Work Location: Onsite in Chandler, AZ

Duration: 12 months

Terms: W2 Contract

Work Authorization: US Citizen; must hold an active/current Secret security clearance

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, submersibles, surface ships, missiles, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of launch, flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events.
• Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality.
• Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations to achieve a desired position, orientation or orbit in space.
• Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of control laws and hardware and software requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Kalman Filtering.
• Experience with signal processing for guided missiles and/or interceptors.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining algorithms and analysis tools in C++, MATLAB and Python.
• Strong foundation in probability theory / statistics.
• Experience with Electro-Optical imaging systems.
• Travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or applied math.
• Experience with onboard/offboard sensor fusion.
• Experience with analyzing large Monte Carlo data sets and/or experience with designing and analyzing simulation experiments.
