Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a seasoned aerospace professional to own flight guidance, control, and sequencing algorithms for the New Glenn program. You will design, implement, and validate control laws, run simulations, and participate in hardware-in-the-loop campaigns to ensure robust performance across mission scenarios.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace guidance and control or simulation.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for design and analysis.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop guidance and control algorithms for flight control.
• Sequence mission activities and vehicle system commands.
• Develop G&C requirements with flow-downs to subsystems and software.
• Build guidance and control algorithms in Simulink for auto-code generation.
• Write and test flight software in C/C++ where appropriate.
• Perform stability and performance analyses, linear/nonlinear models.
• Run Monte Carlo simulations to assess robustness across environments.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop integration and test campaigns.
• Validate plant models and algorithm performance with test/flight data.
