Blue Origin seeks an experienced guidance and control specialist to own end-to-end development for New Glenn. You will design and implement algorithms, run simulations, and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop testing.

The role requires strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, C/C++ flight software experience, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. You’ll collaborate across teams to advance safe, dependable spaceflight.

Qualificações

• B.S. in aerospace, mechanical engineering, or related field required.
• 7+ years in aerospace guidance and control or simulation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for design and analysis.
• Experience designing, testing, and flying aerospace guidance and control systems.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop guidance and control algorithms for flight control.
• Sequence mission activities and vehicle system commands.
• Develop GN&C requirements with flow-downs to subsystems and software levels.
• Build guidance and control algorithms in Simulink to support auto-code generation.
• Implement hand-coded flight software in C/C++ where appropriate.
• Conduct stability and performance assessments with linear and nonlinear models.
• Perform Monte Carlo simulations to characterize performance across environments.
• Author and execute unit tests; ensure code coverage and verification.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop integration and test campaigns.
• Validate plant models and algorithm performance with test/flight data.
• Coordinate cross-team analyses and technical trade studies.
• Lead root cause investigations and peer reviews of GN&C products.
