Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector/Inspectress in Dayton, OH to oversee cleaning of guestrooms by the housekeeping staff and ensure rooms meet standards of cleanliness for guest readiness. You will supervise staff, monitor productivity, and maintain records daily.

The role requires a high school diploma, supervisory experience preferred, and strong communication. It is a part-time, hourly position with duties across front-line housekeeping operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College course work in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and employees.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance and grooming standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms assigned to Room Attendants daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• Notify Room Attendants of deficiencies and re-inspect after correction.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office daily.
• Maintain key control.
• Supervise Laundry employees, when applicable.
• Communicate with Guest Services regarding room discrepancies.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties for Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Monitor cleanliness and orderliness of carts, linen closets and supply areas.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance; follow through to completion.
• Oversee training of Room Attendants.
• Ensure regular maintenance/cleaning projects biannually.
• Assist Housekeeping Management in preparation of Standard of the Week.
• Monitor VIPs and guest requests.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
