Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our on-site team. This non-exempt role reports to the Housekeeping Manager and oversees room cleaning standards, staff performance, and daily assignments to ensure guest rooms are ready in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory skills, the ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Must communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards; flexibility for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, and courteous to guests and colleagues.
• Inspect rooms daily to meet cleanliness and productivity standards.
• Notify room attendants of deficiencies and re-inspect after corrections.
• In absence of managers, supervise VIP rooms and report status to Front Office.
• Oversee end-of-day floor close and restock housekeeping carts.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and sign-off for the Housekeeping Office.
• Oversee key control and supervise Laundry staff when applicable.
• Coordinate with Guest Services on room status and discrepancies.
