Job summary

Highgate Hotels in the United States is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain clean and attractive guestrooms and deliver courteous, attentive service to guests.

The role involves cleaning according to standards, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with physical ability to lift and stand for long shifts, and strong communication with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or experience in hotel or related field preferred.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and communicate effectively with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties: guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
• Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Restock housekeeping cart for next day’s use and replenish chemical bottles.
• Report missing items and any maintenance repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
