Job summary

University of Texas at Austin's Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is seeking two Guest Services Associates. You will greet guests, sell tickets, and provide information about current exhibits, classes and programs.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Two years of experience on a cash register or POS equipment.
• Two years of experience in a customer service-related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience multitasking responsibilities in a high traffic area.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required during peak seasons and special events.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional, friendly manner.
• Sell general admission tickets and explain ticket prices/discounts.
• Provide information about exhibits, classes, programs and events.
• Receive payments for programs, classes, school groups, tours, and events.
• Explain benefits of Wildflower Center memberships and process forms.
• Work with Altru database and keep knowledge base current.
• Review records for accuracy and help correct records per UT standards.
• Maintain an organized and clean ticketing booth/workspace.
• Assist with program operations and event coverage.
