The University of Texas at Austin Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center invites applications for a part-time Guest Services Associate at the Johnson Wildflower Center. The role supports ticketing, information services, and guest experiences in a dynamic visitor environment.

The position is 19 hours per week, with an $18.00 per hour rate, starting immediately and ending August 31, 2027. The work location is at the Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience on POS or cash register.
• Two years of experience in customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to multitask in a high-traffic environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to learn computer systems and software.
• Work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Sell general admission tickets and inform about prices and discounts.
• Provide information about exhibits, classes, programs, and events.
• Handle payments for programs, classes, and tours via multiple channels.
• Promote Wildflower Center memberships and complete membership records.
• Maintain Altru constituent records and assist with database tasks.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Support program operations and event coverage as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
