Job summary

The Paley Center for Media in New York seeks a Supervisor, Guest Services to lead the daily front‑of‑house operations, group tours, library and mailroom tasks, and to enhance visitor experiences. Collaboration with internal teams drives service excellence across events and programs.

You will supervise staff, manage inquiries, oversee cash and donations, and coordinate schedules for museum hours, rentals, and VIP events while supporting recruitment and onboarding as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a front‑of‑house team in a public space or theater.
• Strong customer service orientation with quick issue resolution.
• Experience supervising, motivating, and training frontline staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with large crowds.
• Proficient in Word/Excel and box office programs such as Ticketweb.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Guest Services operations, scheduling, and onsite leadership.
• Manage Customer Care inbox and Main Phone Line for inquiries and reservations.
• Oversee ticketing operations, event builds, inventory, and admissions.
• Coordinate staff schedules for hours, rentals, programs, and events.
• Assist payroll administration with the Manager, Guest Services.
• Oversee event registration, attendance tracking, and reporting.
• Supervise Front Desk cash operations and donor box accountability.
• Train and coach staff; uphold Paley policies and service standards.
• Support VIP experiences, executive arrivals, and talent hospitality.
