Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners seeks a dedicated Guest Services Aide to support the Guest Services Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Haymarket. You will handle front desk tasks, PBX and reservation duties, post charges, and greet guests with a warm, professional welcome, ensuring operations run smoothly during shifts.

This role requires excellent computer and cash handling skills, a sociable, energetic demeanor, and the ability to coordinate with housekeeping and engineering for guest requests.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent computer and cash handling skills.
• Present a sociable, outgoing, lively and guest service oriented behavior.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Can perform and assist with all the front desk functions to include but not limited to the following Guest Service Aide, PBX Operator, Guest Service Agent, Reservationists, etc.
• Knows how and where to post all charges and knows all the room rates. Train all new Guest Service Agents.
• Communicate with the Engineering Department regarding any maintenance requests from the guests.
• Check AM and PM discrepancy reports. Communicate with the Housekeeping Department regarding guest rooms and requests.
• Issues safety deposit boxes to guests when requested.
• Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
• Ensure proper staffing levels of the guest service department by assisting Guest Services Manager in preparing weekly schedule and maintaining proper documentation (time cards, disciplinary procedures, reviews, etc.).
• Assist the Guest Services Manager by handling special requests, group blocking and unusual circumstances.
